Patient safety – is there adequate central government provision for high level patient safety? (RiR 2015:12)
One out of ten people who use healthcare services suffer a healthcare-related injury that could have been avoided. An audit by the Swedish National Audit Office shows that central government has not done enough to promote a high level of patient safety. There are shortcomings in supervision and support to care providers.
